Airports

The nearest airport to Sighisoara is at a distance of 60 km, Transilvania Airport, near Targu Mures. Another nearby airport is in Sibiu, approx. 100 km away.

The largest airport in the area is found at Cluj Napoca, Traian Vuia Airport at 160 km away, and the Bucharest airport, Henri Coanda, is found at 275 km away. Anyway, Sighisoara is accesible both by car and by train, from any national airport.

Train

The local train station is located about 15 minutes away from the citadel(by foot), or approx. 5 minutes away with a cab/taxi.

Bus station

The bus station is near the train station, and you can find a taxi rank nearby both of them.

Tourist Train

If you want to enjoy a different tour of the city, you have the possibility to choose the Tourist train, a tour with it lasting approx. 15 minutes. On this tour you will see the main important areas of Sighisoara, like the citadel and the city center.

We recommend it especially if you have children!

Tuk-Tuk

Similar to the train, but in a smaller version, are the three wheeled motorcycles, whitch can take only two passangers at a time trough the beautiful city.

Local transport

The local transport company, ATT, provides busses all over the city with only 2 lei/trip. Every bus station is equipped with a detailed map of the city, every map explaining the bus route.
