Rope Tower, a contemporary of the first walls of the city, destroyed by the Tartar invasion (1241), and rebuilt in 1350, was repaired in the sixteenth century. It is one of the few towers untouched by fire in 1676.

It is one of the few towers untouched by fire in 1676. The Rope Tower is one of the nine residential towers preserved. Today it is the church’s cemetery’s guard’s home. In front of the tower there is a beautiful view of the city below.
